As an aspiring real estate agent and recent home-buyer, I have quickly learned one lesson. People don't usually show you who they are right away. But when they do- believe them!
What is your first thought when you see this entry? That the neighborhood must be dangerous? Or perhaps you must be a little extra to install a gate like this?
I'll be honest- the latter was my first thought. And I was right! The home is filled with massive amounts of crown molding, raised ceilings, ornate ceiling fans and chandeliers. Even their furniture, beautiful as it is, was a bit dizzying.
One of the most difficult things for potential buyers is to imagine the home differently- with different paint, or different furniture.
It's also one of the most important things a buyer can learn to do. After all, the home will look and feel different once you're in it. It will feel like yours. And, once it's yours, you are free to make any changes you wish.
My opinion? I still liked the home. It was clean, tidy; the raised ceilings gave it an airy feel. The kitchen is fab.
I would definitely give the home a makeover but that is probably true about most homes I see. Everyone has different tastes.
But what do YOU think? After all, your opinion is what really matters. Head on over to HAR or make an appointment to view the home.
